CMNtv Comes to Cranberry Lake Farm
Local cable station CMNtv visited Cranberry Lake Farm to
compile a video feature focusing on the new barn quilt that has
been mounted on the west end of the Flumerfelt Barn. Interviews
conducted by Patty Brown of CMNtv with various members of the
OTHS are featured in this You Tube video. |

"A Barn Birthday Celebration"
Westman Farm celebrates their 100 year old barns September 7, 2013. We celebrate two barns with unique cobblestone construction at 100 years old. The Dairy Main Barn and Calf Barn both were documented in the OTHS Barn Survey in 2002. The Survey Team noted the unique stonework on both barns and researched their history.

Goodison, Our History Centers on the Mill at Rochester OPC
Our Goodison exhibit will be on display at Rochester OPC from August 28, 2012 until September 17, 2012. The full exhibit will be in the lobby available to the public during normal hours. |

MBPN Awards 2011 "Pride of Ownership"
The Michigan
Barn Preservation Network (MBPN) is pleased to award a 2011 Pride of Ownership Certificate to the Oakland Township Parks
and Recreation Commission, the Oakland Township Historical Society and the
Oakland Township Historic Districts Commission for the 1879 Flumerfelt Barn at Cranberry Lake Farm Historic District in
Oakland Township. This noteworthy barn
is an important feature of the historic farmstead on Predmore Road owned by theTownship Parks and Recreation Commission.

Flumerfelt Barn wins Statewide Award!
The statewide Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) awarded Oakland Township Historical Society(OTHS) and Oakland Township an MHPN 2006 Community Award for the Flumerfelt Barn preservation project at their annual preservation conference held in Saginaw on Friday April 21. More.... |

Historical Society moves into CLF Caretaker House!
In December, 2005 the Society signed a lease with Oakland Township to occupy
Cranberry Lake Farm Caretaker House. Volunteers are setting up the Society's
collections, a meeting room, an office and a gift shop. Contact the Society

Historical Society offers Cranberry Lake Farm tours!
The Society offers tours by appointment of Cranberry Lake Farm Historic
District, $2.00 per person. Visit the main house, the 1879 Flumerfelt barn, the Caretaker House, the Hen House and more! Allow one hour and wear
walking footwear.
