Walter Reuther, labor leader and world-wide champion for social justice,
lived with his wife May and two daughters in Oakland Township from
1950 to 1970.  The Reuthers were involved in conservation efforts back
then to clean up Paint Creek as well as other community projects in our
area.  Learn more about the Reuthers in our exhibit, open to the public
at the Paint Creek Cider Mill in historic Goodison starting October 13th.
Visit the Mill for cider and donuts as well…on beautiful Paint Creek.

For the month of October, the exhibit is open on Saturdays, Sundays
and Mondays from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.  For the months of
November and December, the exhibit will be open
Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm,
Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
The last day for the exhibit in Oakland Township will be
December 23, 2008.  The exhibit then moves
on to the Older Persons Commission (OPC)
in Rochester for the month of January 2009.
